Hello all. Really hoping to get some guidance and HOPEFUL for some good news. Disclaimer: kind of handy, far from mechanic.

I have a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LT, with the 5.3. Runs great, no engine issues. A couple of weeks ago, as I got on the highway and attempted to get up to speed, it seemed as if it wouldn't shift out of second gear - would only rev. Pulled off the highway a couple of times, attempted to get it going - no luck. Eventually, wouldn't move at all. It'* been sitting in my driveway since being towed back.

This morning I disconnected the batter for a couple of hours, reconnected it, and was able to shift into drive and move it about 4 or so feet before I put it in park. Ran in to get my phone, went back out and once again I could not get it into gear to move. Any ideas?

2013 Suburban, about 177,500k miles. If it matters, the vehicle was involved in a crash in December, was fixed (all body damage, front end). Got the vehicle back from autobody mid-January.

I'm really hoping the transmission isn't completely gone, as its worthless with out a transmission, and I'm not convinced its worth putting a transmission in a 12yo, high mileage 'Burb.
