Default 2004 GXP Security Light on in Cold Weather

I live in Ohio when it'* a scorching 35 degrees and below my security light stays on not allowing me to start my car. I believe it'* an issue with the ignition how are this morning at 27 degrees I was able to run a hairdryer out the house and heat the ignition and key the light went off faster than normal. A couple times a heated key would work. I think the issue is it gets so cold the passkey or immobilizer takes longer to recognize the key I hope this helps somebody

Thanks for the tip! All of those cars are just getting older and running into these kinds of issues.

Welcome aboard!
