Need to update ECM from 4.8 to 5.3
I have a 2006 GMC Sierra SLE Crew Cab with a 4.8 V8. I want to swap to a 5.3 but need to have the ECM reprogrammed or changed out.. I would prefer to find someone that can flash the ECM for me but I don't have a problem buying the software to make the changes myself. Are there any companies that would do this for me? I can't find a one. What about software to make the changes and the support that comes with it. Who makes the best these days?
I have not made the switch yet but need to soon and I have to get this issue resolved before I move on.
