Can somebody tell me what the sensor under the new temp sensor is for (See attached)? It is behind and under the throttle body, which has been removed.

That makes sense....... I take it you mean a "Hot" idiot light?

I'll confess this motor is in a Vixen RV and don't have temp idiot lights. It has full instrumentation with temp gauge, etc. I guess it'* a
non-use switch

Wow, I haven't heard of a running Vixen in years!

It might be for the gauge, possibly a sender that replaced the on/off idiot-light unit with a variable.

You could test by disconnecting then seeing if tha gauge doesn't work.
