Good morning to all who reads this. Recently acquired a used 2018 Chevy volt with 131,000 miles on it. I've had it for a few months and have enjoyed the experience with it so far I have no qualms about the vehicle but I have a question as to if I can upgrade the charging port on the vehicle to a higher level. I've only been able to use level 2 charger whether that'* at home or out in public but recently I saw a Chevy bolt of the same year using a level 3/level 4 charger. If it'* not possible to upgrade to a better charging port I've seen that there are some adapters for the charging port to where I can use Tesla chargers and I've seen them on Amazon for purchase. If anyone'* had experience using these I'd like to know if they're worth the buy.

I just only had 2 posts, one for each car. I'm kinda new to this forum thing. I didn't think it would show both posts

I believe this would involve changing out the charge port and wiring the additional terminals to direct-charge the battery using DC voltage. I've found some reference to it being possible, but it appears this is an electronic-enthusiast'* task, not to be taken lightly . . . and if done improperly could probably cause some expensive issues. I can't find anyone out there saying anything like ["I converted mine to Level 3 and it works perfectly! Here'* how I did it! It'* foolproof and easy!"]

Personally, I wouldn't recommend doing this.

It appears that Lawrence1986'* account was abandoned years ago and is now compromised by a spammer.
