Let'* see: $1,400.00 divided by 7,000 miles equals $0.20 per mile.

My 1997 LeSabre just got a new set of 60,000 mile Continental tires for $600.00 out the door. If they last 50,000 miles, then that'* $0.012 per mile

My math says that is 6% of the price per mile versus the Tesla in the article.

I have heard this is an issue. I guess when something is really heavy, has skinny low-rolling-resistance tires, instant torque, and gets driven around in city conditions, they wear somewhat faster for some reason.
