Hi all,
I just bought a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ. The drivers seat was all the way back and it won't come forward. I took it out of the vehicle to work on it and found it was jammed. I got it free but I want to check it before I put it back in.
All I need is the schematic for a 5 prong plug that hooks to it. I think it feeds the entire seat because it goes to a control box under the seat and then a ton of wires come out of it and feeds all the motors, etc.
the wires are brown/white, small orange, large orange, large black/white, small black/white.
Thanks!
The larger red and black are the power and ground. These are not heated seats? The blk/wt ones likely go to the motor. Each for a different direction.
I would measure the windings of the motor and see what you have. If it'* burned up you will know.
I had to hook up 12v to both orange (red) and a ground to the large black wire. that worked. the motor moved the seat back and forth a few times but then quit working while still drawing a load from the power supply. If I hooked up power to just one orange at a time nothing happened. so I think the motor is weak and going bad.
BTW it is a heated seat.
Thanks for the help
3 out of 4 motors are bad. 2 have stripped gears but the motors work. the other broke the steel cable that goes from the motor to the track. And all three motors are different lengths. most on ebay going for $60 to $80. so off to the junkyard I go!
plastic gears on a seat motor! Genius!
