1998 Buick Regal LS model
How do I remove the recliner handle on both driver and passenger seats??? I saw that for the removal of the plastic piece surrounding the handle is just clips and can pull out but I can't get that off without removing recliner handle it looks like???

It'* probaby like the window handle in a door with manual windows....there is a clip that fits into the groove of the handle that holds it onto the rod.....there is a special tool for this, but a right angled pick works well removing the clip....

I see where the clip ur talking about is and u were exactly correct, but the thing is if I'm looking down on the seat and recliner handle from say passenger door, the retaining clip open end is face up, likethw onky way to pull the clip out is from the bottom and the only place I can get to that clip is from the top side. I could spread it but I would lose the clip as it would fall downwards into a place I cannot physically see from u see the seat. Any ideas or does the whole seat hafta come out and do it that way

Don't worry about losing the clip...it is very common and easy to get.....
