Default 2002 Chevy Impala (3.8) coil pack question.

Hi & thanks for reading this!!
I've been have a few issues with my Impala (codes for EGR, MAF, coolant temp sensor and small evaporator leak). After finding one pretty big vac leak, I was searching for more.. and discovered a cracked coil pack..... Aside from the logical (connect the right *.p. to the new c.p. / same location I remove it from), are there things I need to do first? Haynes manual is pretty obscure about much of this, and since it covers several Chevy models, am I to assume that my 3.8 is the same across the board on the other models? A video I found online for another gm 3800 motor said to turn off the lockout, and to disconnect the battery. Am I on the right track? Thanks in advance MarLea

Remove wires, remove the two screws securing the coil to the ICM, remove coil......install new coil, attach screws, apply dielectric grease to coil terminals, attach wires back in the same position....easy, peasy, lemon squeasey.....no need for anything else......

I would check all coil terminals one at a time, for corrosion/carbon on the terminals of all the coils....

By the way, last time a complete tuneup was done?

Got it switched, thank you. The crack looked even worse upon removal!

And dielectric grease?
