Default Gasoline in the throttle body

So here im again, repairing and spending time and money in my impala ls 2000 just cause im crazy.

haha.

look i was changing the air intake hose, and for my sorprise theres gasoline inside the throttle body, what cause that?.


i do have other cars, but jesus for some weird reason i dont wanna give up on this impala.

More than likely its your FPR. Fuel Pressure Regulator. Follow the vacuum line from the FPR to the TB. When the FPR goes bad, the vacuum from the TB sucks gas from the FPR into the TB. It'* easy to change the FPR, pair of snap-ring pliers and the new part.

did the test. and yes its bad, and is leaking a lot.

going to buy a new one.

The 2nd link is the one to go with. That'* the one with multiple part #'*

I had to look up your car at Rockauto. Found 2 different FPR'*, but for some reason, only one of them would work with a 2000. The others were broad year based.

But either way, all 1995-2005 Series 2 3800'* are identical. I understand parts become superseded, but why only one part for a particular year is beyond me.
