Default dash/cluster lighting

The cluster that houses the tach,Speedo, fuel, boost, temp and oil pressure gauges is half lit up when the lights come on is it just a bulb or more complicated than I think

So I can just take cluster out and replace bulbs cause I've heard something about them being soldered on or something like that

I haven't done mine yet, but I think they are soldered. I also think there is a thread somewhere on the forum for doing in on a Bonneville.

Found this:

The problem is that the bulbs are soldered to the board, and to replace them, the instrument cluster must come apart. Biggest problem with pulling the cluster apart, is pulling the needles off of the gauges. Many times when you pull the needle off, it will take the spindle that goes into the motor with it, which means the gauge is now dead. Best bet is to find a replacement cluster if you don't have madd electronicz skillz.

Do some google research. There are places you can send your cluster to have all the bulbs replaced. A lot cheaper than a new one, and more reliable than a used one.
