Default New cluster lighting?

Well i'm going to do some small mods to my cluster, and i'm wondering if anyone knows what the bulb in Chevy dashes, the really white ones (Like the c5 vette) are like, and if they match ours? The incadescant look isn't working well with my mod ( or harofreak00'* for that matter) so we need pure white light. Tossing in some LED'* isn't necessarily going to work either...

Not sure, but the Suburban, Tahoe, and Trucks use the same one. Dunno if that helps. As far back as at least 98.

The chevy dashes are goingto look brighter, because they are white. You are seeing all the liht transmitted. IF you put that exact same bulb in our dash it will look dimmer because of the red film that is on the cluster

you will need to replace your bulbs in your cluster with PC 168 as apposed to the PC194 if you want the dash brighter

correct...on mine, the plastic part that diffuses the light is getting old and not crystal clear anymore, kind of a faded yellowish tint.

And the bulb doesn't put out pure white light either.

Anyone around here know of a place that makes white faced gauges for our cars? Or a place that can or will if we get enough orders for them?
