Geez, I just changed this thing out 2 years ago, and now today the wife is calling me telling me that it died on the side of the road. Thank god for AAA.
So, I just got home little while ago, tried to start it, fuel pump was groaning. Ugh! Put the fuel pressure tester on it and found 20-25 psi. Well, I know what I'm doing Saturday. Thankfully the tank is below half.

Did you update the fuel pump wiring connector when you replaced the pump? GM identified the connector as the cause of the failure. The replacement DELPHI and AC/DELCO pumps (same pump) all get the new connector wiring set with the replacement pump.
The research I have done, and did a lot as I have replaced three pumps in three different Blazer family of vehicles, is that most of the replacement pumps fail within a year or two after installation. It seems only the DELPHI has had a long term success as a replacement fuel pump for the Blazer family of vehicles.

Yes, the new Airtex I installed 2 years ago came with the updated harness.
Tomorrow morning, I'm going to disconnect the harness and feed the pump directly with a battery just to make sure its not the vehicle wiring itself.
This is the last pump I'm installing. After that, we are going to get rid of it.

Mike,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Airtex replacement pump for the Blazer series are a very high failure item. Do a google and you will find dozens upon dozens of documented cases.
Get the Delphi replacement from Amazon or Ebay (cheaper than Rock for this pump) and you will no longer have fuel pump problems. I replaced three with DELPHIs, and never had any further issues.

Unfortunately, my wife is paranoid without having wheels ready and available if she needs it. Therefore, when it comes to fixing her truck, I have to get all my parts locally. Unless its a part that doesn't prevent the truck from running.
Tell her that if you don't fix it properly with quality parts, you can't guarantee that it will be ready and available when she needs it due to unforeseen part failure.

Right now, I'm debating on getting the AcDelco part at Advance auto or the airtex again. She says this is it, shes done with this truck and wants something different.
Nick, I could go bore you to death with some of her medical conditions that warrant a speedy repair. rjblazer is aware of them.
