Default Strut Comparison

I am sick and tired of riding around on rear shocks that not only have seen 18 years of service, but also 164,000 miles, not to mention lost the ability to maintain air pressure from the leveling. I, being a cheap skate am about ready to pull the trigger on these from rock auto:

According to everyone on this forum, I will wish I went with the monroes, but why? Why are the Gabriels so bad?

Factors to consider:
I don't want a firm ride, like what I understand the Monroes are great for
I have had this car 3 years, and have yet to put 15,000 miles on it
I don't mind doing it all over again in a few years

If the only response is that the Monroes is that they last longer, and firm up the ride, I will go for Gabriels.

I had gabriels on my 87 camaro and they did just fine was a firm enough to keep the body from scraping the 235'* yet smooth enough to be comfy

Interesting, but a camero is also a different animal when it comes to suspension in all honesty...
