Default gauge problems

First off hello to everyone, im new to this forum. Its a 04.The fuel and water temp gauges have been reading way off. Now the tach and speedometer have also started reading wrong. The problem comes and goes. From what i have read on other post i should start with checking grounds and the instrument cluster plug in ? thank you all for your time

It'* pretty common on the 2000+ to have cluster issues. Was any work done to the car prior to this popping up?

No work has ever been done. So it sounds like I may have to buy a new cluster?
