Does he have a performance tune? That would disable the top speed.

All about safety. Check your tire ratings. Then you will need a tune and have the limit removed.

what are tire ratings and how to I check them? What is a tune or do you mean tune up? Can I remove the limit myself or do I need to take it to a shop?

By tune I mean tune, not a tune up. And no, you can't remove it unless you have the software to do it.

Technically your car hit the limiters at 108mph. GTP'* being a sports car has programming to 128mph.

There'* ways to correct it, and other inequities.. just make sure you do it safely by upping the rating on your tires to accept the added speed.
