I have a 1998 ssei bonnie with the supercharge. My oil pressure gauge doesn't work right. It will stay up at the right pressure an then drop down to zero and then jump back up. I have replaced the sending unit and it still occurs. I used an external gauge and the pressure is right and constant. Can i replace just this gauge or how can this be done. I am contemplating just puting a aftermarket electric gauge inside. thanks
I'm betting it'* not the guage. My oil pressure guage is the same way. Replaced it with another cluster and that didn't help. I also changed sending units (it came with the replacement engine) and still the same.
Yesterday when I had the car up on a hoist for the oil change I followed the wiring from the pressure sending unit for about a foot to check for breaks, but there were none.

Friday'* minimal inspection was the furthest I've dug into it besides swapping in a different cluster. I hope to find the problem Monday as I will inspect the wiring as far as I can on both sides of the firewall.
