So, went to pick up a friend yesterday and I noticed my passanger front tire had a small pissing noise. Not being too far away from a tire shop, I decided to wing it and try to make it there.... or not! The Explorer started pulling HARD to the right. I pulled over as quickly as I could, thank god I wasn't going more than 40mph. Threw the hazards on and walked around to see the right front tire completly flat.

After saying a few choice words, I got the tiny spare jack out and began to lift the Explorer only to find out that it couldn't extend far enough to get my 31" tire off the ground. *Insert a few more choice words here* I proceeded to call driverDad and informed him of my situation. Thankfully my parents only live about 15minutes away. He came to the rescue with the 4 ton floor jack.

I got the spare tire on, finally and drove home. I found the Explorer to be rather humours looking now:


I inspected the flat tire to find that the sidewall had been slashed by a thin sharp object. The cut was about 4" long. I'm not sure if it was done by someone or if I drove over something in the road. I went inside to make some calls and found that good ol' Sears had my BFGoodrich tire. $170.00 later, I'm back on the road

Those damn jacks suck. I wouldn't use one ever unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. My truck comes with just a small lame bottle jack..there is no way in HELL I'm going to jack up 1/4 of a 3 ton truck, on the side of the road or something....and then remove a tire. thats INSANE!

The blue on the white wall is actually soap.

Water and a soft bristle brush will take it off with no problems. No need for Bleach White since your raised whites are already clean.
