Leaking at the elbow

You probably just nicked the O-ring on the elbow, don't get frustrated, a lot of people do it.

Just remove the tensioner assembly. The coolant elbow goes into that. While you have that out, you may as well replace the lower elbow also. This will give you an idea of how it will look when you remove it.

Be certain that you clean out all the crud where the elbows insert into each piece. You may want to put a little coolant or dielectric grease on the O rings to make it easier to install and not damage the O rings.

Thank you very very much! You are saving me a ton of time and having to search for a torque wrench again. Any other tips you can give me would be great. Thank you again!
Making sure that the area is clean can not be over-emphasized. Scrub it up well with a toothbrush, or wire brush. Then wipe clean. If the area is badly pittied, you could put some gasket sealer around the O rings, but do that only as a last resort. You shouldn't run into any problems taking that off.

There are easier ways bud.
The tensioner is a much easier way, make sure you have both coolant elbows. That if your year has the lower elbow built into the tension (metal) you will have the o ring. (I dunno why I didn't think of that earlier Badnit)
I suggest using a little grease or vasoline on the o rings before you install them to help them slide in. A few here have had issues with nicking and it would see the best method is to prelube or add a little RTV when they are going together.

Well got the tensioner off with little problem and fixed and oiled the o-ring on the LIM side. Replaced the back elbow and cleaned up and oiled the heatercore O-rings too.
Got it all back together and filled it up. WOOOHOOOO NO LEAK!!!!
Thank God cause if I spend anymore time on this project I think my wife will kill me.
