Default 1990 Lesabre question

I'm considering doing an engine/trans swap, what i need to know is other than a 3800 what engines (and trans) will fit in the bay with minimum effort and fabrication?

A Vin C motor with a 4T60 trans. Probably a 2.84 gear ratio, but you'll have to check your RPO codes for sure.

No other motor will be an easy swap. Any other motor trans combination will be a custom setup that will require an engine wiring harness and PCM from the donor vehicle, and probably custom mounts/axles.

See if you can find a 4T60 out of a Lesabre T-Type. It has the 2.97 gear instead of the 2.84? that your car has. Little more grunt.
