Power Antenia replacement...

I'm going to be going to the JY with a friend of mine here to look for a new antenia for my car. I know that i can look for other cars then a 95 bonneville too, so what other models and years have the same power antenia that I do? Thanks for all your help.

oh, and if this should have been in the mechincal section please move. I dindn't see this being mechanical though .

Darrel..take alook at your antenna.. Any GM with that same looking mast/motor should work fine. Then simply change the mounting bracket.

Ah, ok. I didn't reaolize that the mounting brackets and the motor/mast where diffrent parts. Thanks for the tip!

The easy way is to find a 99 Bonneville. I've done that with both of mine.

Want it to last?

Drill out the rivets on the donor antenna, clean out all the old grease, and re-grease with lithium grease. Then put it back together with machine screws and nuts.

It'll outlive you and your car.

This is silly. The car came with a nice feature and there'* no need to remove all the things that break. Heck.. because my motor stops working...I'm not going to replace it with a pedal power system.

essentally thats what i have now, a non power antenia (its stuck up). I'd go that rought as a last resort but i'm positive i'll be able to replace it with another power unit.

Putting a fixed antenna mast on a car is ridiculous. My 99 power antenna has been working great on the Zilla for 5 years since I replaced it. And it only cost me $10 at a wrecker.
