Default 92 cutty supreme wont start

i just bought a 92 cutty supreme * from a druggie but i cant complain cause i got the car for $100 cause i told her the car was basically scrap...and knowing her she went out and bought some more crack...lol... and the damn thing wont start it will turn over a few times then will lock up like somthing is jamming....could this be a broken rod or is my engine ready to go to the grave any help would be appreciated thank you for your time

dont know if this helps, but the alternator may be seized up, i just had the same problem
have someone try to start it up and you look to see if the belt slips on the alternator

you might be looking at a nasty mess if it was truly owned by a drug addict. Be careful if you have to rummage around in the interior.

I'm no expert, but I would start with removing the drivebelt, see if it fires up, if not remove the plugs and try cranking. Cylinders could be full of coolant. Beyond that I wouldnt know.

thanks for all the help so far guys..but the altinator isnt seized..the car turns over as if it wants to start but cant

does it sound like it has enough power when trying to start, dos it cilck, click?
it could be the bat or starter
