Default Can it be cleaned or time for a new one?

I purchased the K&N Filter Cleaning kit about 2 weeks ago and never can stop driving the Bonne long enough to wash and dry the filter....soooo I just popped out my filter tonight to do just that...Clean it but something tells me it may be time for replacement. What do you think?

A K&N is "supposed" to be good for 1,000,000 miles with proper care.

Is that what it looked like after cleaning??????

Oh yeah, totally cleanable. But do it very thuroughly. Rinse, Rinse and Rinse some more. Give yourself about an hour, and she'll be as good as new

Lol That was like my Eclipse....Never changed the air filter and over a year without changing the oil. The Eclipse burned it, I added it. simple LOL

Anyways, I cleaned it, and well, it looks a little better, but Im going to clean it again once it dries.

Im hunting for a soft bristle brush....maybe I have an extra tooth brush around here somehwere.

All I know is this, when it gets dirty again, im buying a new one. I think this one has one more cleaning left in it and this is it. lol

Hogwarsh..

K&N'* don't get replaced. They get cleaned. Geez, sell that one if it'* so broken.. there'* plenty of needy members if you have money burning a hole in your air filter.

The K&N is fine. Hold it up to the light and if light is shining through, keep it. If it doesn't shine through...clean it again, according to the instructions, and THEN keep it.

You shouldn't have to replace it. Use your hard earned $ on something you really need.
