Can it be cleaned or time for a new one?

a lil over $60 bux for one. I didnt think that they were THAT expensive. I need more important things than the filter at the moment. I'll take it out otnight and clean it again, and again until I'm happy with it. It just looks a bit beat up and rough around the edges.

That'* the spirit

Rough around the edges or not, If you can see good light through it, it will do its job. If little light shines through, then it needs another scrubbing. I suppose at some point, enough dirt imbedded deep in the fibers may lead you to make the decision to purchase another one, but for $60, I damn sure am scrubbing it to death before I replace.

The directions on the recharge are spray with cleaner..rinse with water if I remember..there'* not scrubbing... needed.

I've gotten my filter pretty dirty many times and a quick recharge later and it'* good as new.

Good point, Billster. There are some "warnings" on the recharge kit about what not to do....I can't remember if scrubbing is a no-no, but if so, I recant my previous "scrub-it-to-death" pledge

You can scrub, but lightly with a soft bristle brush. I didnt scrub since my soft bristled toothbrush was down in the car in the toolbox, but im going to bring it up with me tonight, and scrub a little and see what happens.
