95 bonnie reconditioned uim crack big problem??`

Well the uim cracked at 60 inch lbs of tourqe and o I left it at that here is some pics of it.....




Fotunately, that is not a critical area of the UIM. No coolant on this end. To check to see if it is sucking air at that point, with the car idling, shoot a little propane from an unlit torch at the crack and see if there is any change in the idle speed or quality.
It is hard to imagine that only 5 ft-lb of torque broke that. The spec is 7.5 ft-lb or 89 in-lb.

Bill, the crack is under the bolt on the corner - it'* not just your eyes that are blurry this morning
You have to wonder why it cracked under so little torque. It must have been warped very badly or chemically weakened, or maybe just a factory defect. In any case, it would make me a little concerned about running that upper - especially if similar problems exist at the other end.
If it were mine, I might start saving up for a new APN upper and change it out before the snow starts to fly.
