My '92 SSE */c recently began making a single click noise in the front end. The noise sounds like it'* coming from the front driver'* side. The click usually occurs when making turns or when the car is moving over dips/bumps. It never clicks more than once at a time, and it'* not a creaking or rubbing or whining noise. There are no other known symptoms.
Any ideas?
I replaced the front sway bar end links not long ago, and double-checked them recently just to make sure they still looked ok. I lubed the ball joints again recently, and it made no difference. The front engine mount was replaced not long ago, and the other mounts and the CV joints were reportedly ok at that time as per the mechanic. The front struts and rear shocks were replaced not long ago.
Does this sound like a suspension problem? CV joint problem? Bearing problem? Engine/tranny mount problem?
Thanks.
