Default New Sticky Post for Tire Balancing Issues

Any 2000+ owners (probably more SSEi'*) think this wheel/tire balance problem is significant enough among us to add to the sticky: "Common Problems"?

I've never had a problem with balancing my tires... I've got two sets of rims/tires too...

i have no idea what issue you are talking about, but there is nothing wrong with stating your opinions over there, instead of starting a new topic

I would just include it in the 2000+ list of common issues that is already a sticky. There are three stickies at the top of the list of new posts every time already. You could remove one and paste this one there, but I suggest just modifying the existing one.

Default Balance

Guys, I have the SSEi with the turbine wheels, and they come out of balance all the time even with the best Goodyear RSA'*. My tire place also changes my oil, and they have heard of that happening on some makes and models before, so they just do a rotate and balance every 5k with the oil change, and I have had no more problems. They said that when it goes out of balance, the wheel actually slips on the rim and a new tire is being developed for vehicles that have this problem to eliminate slippage. Hope this helps!!

Default 03 SSEi w highway speed vibration

I just recently purchased an 03 SSEi with 20k miles. At approx 60-70mph, there is a slight vibration from the front. I was told when I purchased the car that the previous owner complained about the original Goodyear RSA'* and GM replaced all the tires. I was told that these tires were just rotated so I assumed when the back tires are rotated up front that you get some initial vibration until they are there for a while. I may have to look into balancing more often but shouldn't have to go to that expense every oil change. If the tires are slipping on the rims then can't some kind of adhesive be put on tire bead to stabilize?
