3.8 Crank Flexplate balancing
Does anyone know if the crankshaft and flywheel is balanced separately or as one peace form the factory? It'* a 87 3.8 FWD Bonneville engine. Also is the flywheel neutrally balanced?

Not sure on your year. However the next engines up the harmonic balancer and flywheel both play a part in balancing the motor as does the balance shaft. I would tend to think yours was in the same category.
