Me again.. with more questions.. lol...
First off, throttle position sensor.. I get a SES code that the TPS voltage is low... can I adjust it, or should I replace it? Along with that, I get a Quad Driver code, and 3 tranny codes... Could the low TPS voltage cause the rest of my error codes? I'm sure I can pull a TPS off of a good car from the wreckers, so replacing it won't be an issue..
Another question... why would I get a chime that I'm assuming is the headlights on chime when I open my door, with the lights off, and keys out of the ignition? Along with that, my AVLS runs every so often, and I'm not sure if its supposed to run when the car is off. Same goes for the compressor on my master cylinder.. it runs fora few seconds every 20 mins or so... kind of puzzles me...
What grille structures can I put on my SSE? The grille and all the associated structure was tore out.. The previous owner had gotten stuck last year, and a 'good samaratan' decided to pull her out... by the grille.. smart guy! lol... So, I need to get the bracing to mount my grille again...
What is the proper pin-out of the diagnostic port? I would like to pull the codes for my ABS system, since the ABS isn't working, and the ABS light is constantly on.. I read in the service manual that you need to short pin H, which one of the 4 is it?
Well, that is all I can think of for now... But I'm sure that I'll be back with more questions as I try to get this ol' Bonne back up to snuff!

Can't help with the other questions but a bad TPS can cause some trans. related problems, usually with the torque converter lockup. Low voltage from the TPS may cause the ECM to see a throttle position close to idle voltage causing the lockup to be erratic, and one of the quad drivers does operate the TCC. Maybe related to the others too.

Thats what I figured... the codes were low TPS voltage, Quad Driver, second gear shift, fourth gear shift, and torque converter lockup... so I'm thinking its just one long nasty chain, and that the weakest link happens to be the first... I think I'll go grab that TPS tommorow morning...
To check the TPS.
Hook an OHM meter up to the TPS signal wire and move the throttle (engine off).
Readings should change smoothly with no dead spots.
Then turn the Ignition to on (engine off) and take a voltage reading at the idle position.
Vin C motor should be 4.2 - 4.6 volts. This reading can be adjusted by loosening the two screws 1/4 turn or so then moving the TPS until you get the desired reading.
If you get one from the wrecker you will have to go through this procedure anyway.
