At the time it had had the whole interior (minus door panels, drivers seat, dash, and headliner removed.
I picked up seats (grey leather -not matching teal like it should have been, but it worked and didn't look bad), carpet and installed it for him at a cost of $200.
My brother drove it 60k (the rig now has 184k) with the current tires which he also installed at a steal of $100 for the set of 255/70/16'* from a new Ram that was damaged between the factory and the dealer.
Anyhow, he'* got about a total of $4G invested in the truck in 60K miles.
It'* a fairly nice rig, got 17.5 mpg'* on a 130 mile drive, 60% highway/40% town (nothing special, but it'* actually above the norm for a 4.0 Explorer, especially a leadweight E. B. edition).
I'm probably going to just throw a bumper, MAF sensor, tires and do the detail job on it and see if I can get $3500 out of it -on the market around here this is an old suv now, and the suspension is starting to show it'* wear.

no the v8 was the 4.6 but there was also 2 diff 6cyc that you could have got with that truck single cam and double cam. about 75% of them had the single cam but there are some with the double.
