Default I finally have found a job!

I have been looking for a job since the beginning of May (just before my son was born). I have been doing odd jobs around for various people for quite some time now and with a 4 month old son, it just doesn't pay the bills.

I have had A LOT of prospects over the past 4 months, but none of them panned out and none of the problems were on my end (qualifications, over-qualified, etc - none of that). They were all issues within the companies themselves... I was actually verbally hired by one company only to sit on my a$$ for 2 months waiting for them to get me the papers. Many other interviews were results of 'courtesy calls' after I had submitted a resume to them, but none of those companies actually had any open positions.

Long story short, I called up a company that is in my home town (where we do not live now) that I had co-op'd with when in college. They had a position available and since they know my work ethics, skills, and knowledge already, I was a perfect fit. The best part is that we will be able to move back closer to my parents, my wife'* parents and 3 out of 4 grandparents! Not to mention the aunts, uncles, and cousins in the area that can help out with my little one! My wife'* company has offices in that area that she would be able to actually upgrade her position through a switch in branches and come out even further on top!

I can not help but think that someone had a plan for me! This is amazing and it will change our lives!

Thanks for listening and a special thank you to those of you that have helped me along the way!

Mechanical Engineer by schooling

I have worked on the family farm since I was 10 (now 26) whenever I was around home or needed to suplement my income a bit (dad pays me nice!). I love the experience that I gained from working for my father. Between all of the custom fabrication (welding, cutting, bending etc) and mechanics work that I have experienced over the 8 full years of working for him while in middle school and highschool.

When I originally coop'd with this company (Goulds Pumps - ITT Industries) I was a Design Engineer Coop. My official title will be Process Engineer for the Commercial Focus Factory in Auburn, NY.

Did you happen to mention to the company that you drive a bonneville? Proves that you make good decisions
