To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888/382-1222. It is the national DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years.

Or you can use the national website if you have to register more than one cell number or home number.

All of my numbers are registered on this site. 2 cell phones and 2 land lines at home. It works! 30 days after they were registered, all of those annoying calls stopped.
