Default Idea up for grabs...

Some time ago, i proposed to andrew that he build a plexyglass box, that will mount on, or even under the front bumper. he was really fond of the idea, but has yet to do it. is there any other takers for this idea? this would make some wicked video

Speaking from a motorcyclists viewpoint, a stray rock can be found *anywhere*. :P

Very true....

We do a lot of "bumper" cams at my local sports car club..... never had a problem with rocks....

Check out this video....
http://www.armsinc.ca/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=2861

It'* taken from the view point of the bumper on a 427 Colbra running 1 lap of AMP.
AMP is a 2.6km 11 turn circuit course...... it'* where I race my cars. Very fun!!

This Idea has been had by many people before. i even designed a box for mine when I first purchased it, but never went ahead and built it. I was even going so far as getting an electric motor so I could move it left to right and one to zoom in and out. Alas, it never took shape.

Even for NASCAR, where even a pebble can be detrimental on the track, they protect their on-board cameras...although those cameras are much more expensive... :P
