Well there are too many little things that bug me and should be fixed on the car for me to feel comfortable selling it to someone, and trading it in just will kill me (thanks GM ) so I'll keep it and pay it off.

I am still selling most of my mods and after this last weekend in August, all that the car will have is the PCM, VS Camshaft, and smaller pulley.

SO, my goal is to try to do more with less. I am going to get extreme with the pcm and try to eek every last bit of performance I can out of it. Because I am keeping it and still itch to race, I'll be trying an experiment to go as fast as possible with as little mods as I can and hopefully some progress will be made and I can pass that along to yall.

I am going to try and take my PCM, Pulley size yet to be determined, and VS Cam as far as I can. (roughly $800 in mods for anyone to replicate it)

Now, my two starting points are thus:

Very high timing and race fuel (~25/26 deg) and a 3.4 (roughly 8psi on my blower).

OR

Very low timing and tons of boost w/ race fuel (~10 deg timing) and a 3.0 (Roughly 14/15psi with the manifolds and my blower)

Curious what some of you think is the better route. Best part is I can work up 2 pcm programs and try both theorys at the track rather easily. I think I will be more powerful and safer with high boost / low timing.

I am also going to set my shifts at between 5000 and 5500rpm as to use the torque instead of the HP and let 3rd gear wind out in the back. I should be hitting third around 90-95mph.

I am going to be fabbing some solid motor mounts and using the ELC effect with spring blockers to get the best launch I can. I was able to hit 13.43@102.9 on a 3.25, 20deg timing, VS Cam, iPCM and headers. So this should be interesting. I think I can get a 13.5 or lower with some effort.

ANyway, just kicking ideas around for now.. I hope to hit a track later this year yet though and see what I can accomplish. Thoughts welcome! Long live cheap power!

I suppose this could be ready to run at IDD in october.. I won't know for sure till real close so I will have to eat the higher entry fee but thus is life.

Yeah, I wanted to keep her but the prospect of a brand new car with no issues is rather nice. BUT, since that is being held off, might as well have some fun with the ole girl while she has some life in her!!
