Caminated hits the track... 13'*!
**** Sorry if I am a bit excited, it'* been a lot of work without putting a lot of money in the car.. it'* not perfect yet but it isn't easy to get these tubs into the 13'*, so I am quite thrilled.. anyway...*****
**** I discuss a POTENTIAL problem about my pcm in here, I removed it from the subject as if it is NOT the pcm, I don't wish to cost INTENSE any sales.****
Well I set out to run a 13.... results below:
Went to Milan Dragway in Michigan today. 65 degrees, 71% humidity, 30 baro, 10mph headwind.
I only got to take three runs today, but I'm overall happy with the results CONSIDERING *I will explain below*
Track prep included simply removing the crap from my car, cloths, clubs, and the spare. Seats, and everything else still in the car, no load leveler adjustments made, headlight still in, etc.
Run numbah 1:
35psi in the fronts.
60ft - 2.129
330 - 5.87
1/8et - 8.976
1/8mph - 79.05
1000' - 11.637
1/4et - 13.877
1/4mph - 99.75
Run numbah 2:
33psi in fronts.
BLEW THE LAUNCH just before the 60' was done
1/8mph 72.13
1/4et/mph 15.503@97.38
She was haulin after I finally got some grip!
Run numbah 3:
60' - 2.172
1/8et - 9.017
1/8mph - 79.63
1/4et - 13.885
1/4mph - 100.66
A solid #3 spot overall.
Mods:
3.25 pulley
VS camshaft
SLP headers
INTENSE PCM
180 thermo
CAI
Stock tires, rims, breaks were used.
Now for the CONSIDERING...
There is a BIG problem with the INTENSE PCM'* for these cars. Reports have come out of hitting a 'wall' at the top of two, I never hit it before until today. I was hitting 102mph BEFORE the last set of timing lights!!!!. At 102 it was like having the car in gear but totally letting off the gas, the car would nose dive down and slow down to 98mph then wake up and pull again at full speed. It never shifted into third WOT, I couldn't get it to. So basically, I hit 102mph, drop to 98, accelerate and finish at the listed traps above. I am not one to make excuses so I am not, my times are my times and I am happy. However, this slowdown happend a good distance before the finish, easily costing me some hundreths if not tenths, and for sure some trap speed. I'm going to contact Scott as this is not too cool.
It isn't valve float, I know what that is like and I would have it in first gear too. Something is funky with these pcm'*. I don't know if Rogue had the same issue or not.
So anyway, there ya have it.. I had fun, I'm happily in a solid third on a 3.25 and have some room for improvement on the current setup with some PCM work, then it'* on to the 3.0
Anyway, thanks for listening, take it easy.

Rogue and Taylor both were getting a small vibration in the pedal at high speeds/RPMs, same instaneces around 6k. Nothing really bad, I didn't hear about it after running @ Byron, but they both noticed it last week. Taylors fastest was a 14.2 run, and Todd had a 13.7, then the final run was a 13.97. Todd trapped @ 103 on the 13.7, so I don't think he hit a wall like you did.

That'* interesting. Bad PCM maybe? With those E/T'* it looks like you were still in 2nd, assuming you didn't massivlely raise your redline/shift points. Checked for any codes?

No codes. I was still in second when it should have been in third and higher traps.
I'm going to talk to scott about it. Something is just a bit to funkay. It sucks to see 102 on the hud then go down to 98 BEFORE You finish your pass.. :P
It'* alright though, I'm the third person (that we know of, of course) to get a 2k+ into the 13'*, and I have plenty of room left to go with more boost, and fixing the pcm.

I'm not pro anybody, i'm trying to help you here! Keep an eye out for Taylor, he was pulling hard on saturday... Maybe a few more toys and he could be a threat....
Can you get into 3rd during non-WOT situations?

Thanks for the props guys I hope some more competition comes around. I was hoping to take the #2 spot but that will have to wait Much props to Rogue on that. I hear Taylor was doing pretty good but haven't heard times yet.
The car goes into third fine in every other situation, and when I let off at 100 a bit it goes into third. I didn't try that at the track though. It was killin me.. oh well, I'll get it fixed and go back for more :P I set out for my 13 slip and got it so the overall status is SUCCESS!

Did you watch the boost when this happened? SilverBullets boost dumped when I hit that wall in the car. Try it again to verify the same symptoms if you can, but it seems to be pretty obvious so far.
