I know it'* better to build an air box but is this worth installing it as is for now?

Does it make a difference? I'm looking for a few low cost performance improvements... Is the official K&N one better?

of course. these ones are really cheap. you would probably have to poke holes in them or something with a knife

Looks like a really short intake tube too, not so good for the heat (know from experience)

Not good, You'll want to redo it anyways to something that has cold air, and isn't so close to the engine. :?

yeah i wonder why they cut the pipe so short. otherwise that would be a good setup for the money

What about the filters with the heat shield.... Too restrictive?
