My dad was looking in the trunk of the new SHO, to discover a subwoofer, and a pair of amps behind the back seat. it has to be stock, but i have never heard of a car coming stock with a subwoofer. any ideas?

yeah, it'* stock. . The SHO'* came with a JBL system.

Its like the Aurora with the Bose Acoustimass system, stock subwoofer or Bass Module) whatever...lol

Some higher end cars will come with a decent stock audio (yep...even the SHO...lol)

so it is actually a subwoofer than? i cant wait till i get my hand on this stereo and crank it. i cranked the stereo in the 93 taurus and blew the back speakers. they were dry rotted though. stupid new mexico sun. i gotta replace them now. cant wait till i get my tempo back.

You can get the new 'Stang with subs too.

Newer GMC/Chevy trucks have one under the drivers seat i believe.

some minivans come with subs... its becoming a more and more popular market

alot of newer car have stock subs. my wifes saturn even has a stock sub. the suburbans have a 10 inch one on the drivers side near the back doors.

yes there are alot of cars that have a pretty good sound system. and the Sable/Taurs was avaliable with the JBL. I know someone that has a Sable with the JBL and it sounds ok

OK is the keyword there. but new cars are a huge improvement soundwise (even though the technology has been there for 20 years).
