WOOOT, but I'd like to kick whoever decided you have to link with Steam to make it work in the nutz!
Allmost $60 and it took 4 hrs to get Steam to work and start the game! geesh!

It also occored that when I put it on a laptop for when I deploy if I have to reload it -I'm screwed!

No it'* - I don't really understand it so it'* a program to acess a online site, it set up to auto run and it has to link up @ first so you can play the game even single player.
You have to turn off firewalls and Nortin blockers to get it to work. All I know is I bought my real copy and now it'* time to find a "back up" that isn't such a pain in the butt.

The game play is getting rave reviews, but scathing rebuke on the steam internet fiasco. I was reading amazon.com'* reviews for it. This is one game I want to get, but think I'll wait a bit before I get it.

What are the system requirements like?

What is the system you are playing it on?

I only have either my laptop or my desktop to play it on... My laptop is an Inspiron 8200 P4M 1.7Ghz, 512Mb DDR, ATI Radeon 9000 Mobility vid with 64mb ram, and a 5400rpm ATA/100 hd. My desktop I built myself, but it'* older than the laptop and is a P4 1.5Ghz, 512Mb PC133 Ram, nVidia GeForce3 64Mb video and a 7200rpm ATA/100 drive. I don't want to go buying the game now just to find out that it won't play properly on either of my machines.

So how'* the gameplay??? PC Gamer gave it their highest rating EVER, or so I'm told. The guys at Valve really snuck up on me... I didn't even know the release date and then BAM! it'* shipping all the sudden. How 'bout hitting us up with some reviews, guys?

The airboat and buggy are had for me to drive- thats why I don't play comp driveing games. But over all it'* (self edit for hard core lang) COOL! IT detail is breathtaking and with the gravity gun you can pick up saw blades and throw it to cut people in 1/2 AND throw gas btls and explode so they run around on fire. There a section that reminds me of the "they hunger" HL mod= very cool and creepy. The whole BS with steam is the only neg.
