my mom'* '88 cutlass cierra died today and wouldn't start, and we knew it was the ignition control module cause the same thing happened last summer. Luckily the one we put in it had a lifetime warranty, so i took it in to autozone for a replacement. The guy at the counter put it on the tester and it checked good after like 15 tests, but i said give me the new one anyway, and it fixed the problem.

I think a few people have had this problem as well. Best test? Try another one.
