is there a seperate amp anywhere? i want to use the extra set of speaker leads for an amp, but im not sure if they go striahgt through to the truck.. any suggestions?

On 92'* there is an amp right behind the gain slider. I'm not sure, but I think it'* located somewhere else on the pre-92'*.

You can use the leads form the amp to go to an amp. It'll work.

I guess, but you'd only get bass in the rear. The gain control slider only increases the low end, and only supplies the low end to the woofer portion of the rear 6x9'*.

OK the 2nd leads attached to the gain amp are not ful range then? These leads could be used for a high level sub amp input with a volume contro (the gain switch) l then right? i wonder how this would sound...

Correct. The stock amp has a crossover, and sends only bass to the woofer portion of the stock 6x9'*. I took those leads, put RCA converters on them, and ran them to my sub amp. Took the other leads, with RCA converters, to my 6x9 amp. It works pretty well.
