Default Fire Wall Problem

My fire wall is rusty.... Like really rusty not like decrepid rusty but ugly none the less.... What should I do to cover this unsightly blemish?? And how should I go about this??
I really wish I had a dig cam so I could show you what I mean...

Get it as clean as you can with a wire toothbrush and a solvent (intake cleaner would be good, or electrical contact cleaner). Then douse it with alcohol (not beer....and make sure the manifolds are cold). Let it evaporate, then use a rust converter on it. If you're careful, you can paint after the rust converter. This process should buy you at least a couple years before it starts coming through the paint again.
