Okay...you've lost.
It happens to us all. You just got smoked, because somebody put more money into it, your tires were a bit bald...whatever. The following true-life story will help put some perspective on it. It may help to tell the people who smoked you, as well.
Several years back, a friend of mine was flying B-52s on a long training mission somewhere in the world. As is usual, he was being escorted by several F-16s...smaller fighters. Now there’* always been a bit of rivalry between “scouts” and “heavies” and the modern world is no different.
Well, several hours into the flight, the lead F-16 pilot became bored. He radioed back to the lead B-52, saying “Watch this.”
He then proceeded to do several barrel rolls, flips, and numerous impressive acrobatics. After several minutes of showing off, he went back into formation, and radioed back “Let’* see one of you guys do that.”
A moment later, the B-52 pilot radios up, “Yup, that sure was impressive. Hey, could you do all that again? My co-pilot was in the back stretching and getting a cold one…”
There are cars that are tough to beat. None of them, though, do it with as much comfort and style as a Bonny.
