Default What can read 97-03 GP ABS codes?

My ABS/traction lights keep coming on randomly. I have a few ideas but would like to know what the codes are, so I went online and bought a cool scanner (OTC 9450) that reads all of the GM codes. For $100, it was pretty good… except only the 2004-08 GP can have its ABS codes scanned.

I checked online, and a lot of the scanners that read ABS and airbag codes don't support pre-2004 GP'*. Does anyone know of a cheap scanner that will?

I think you found the lowest priced device on the market. Actron even admits none of their devices(cheap ones) can scan ABS/IRS'*.

And I always warn people to stay away from the cheap chinese junk on ebay with the portable/computer scanners that cost like $25. They don't always work with the software. As the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for".

One of them, I guess. It scans my airbag system, at least, so it'* a small step up from my old one.

I have an Actron CP9580 that will read ABS codes. I bought off Ebay for less than $100.
