Hi, I don't know if you guy can help me out on this one

Been driving a 98 Trans Sport for some time now ever since I got it out of the used car dealership, back then all was running smooth untill I started noticing some kind of weak starting problems when engine'* hot. At first start during mornings it just starts right up as if nothing ever happened but when I turn engine off while still hot and try to turn it back on that'* when it all begins.

My mechanic told me that the crank shift position sensor was in good working conditions. What gives?

you mean the engine seems to crank slow? sounds like bad ground to the engine or power to the starter. or the starter itself

when is the last time you changed the plugs/wires/fuel filter? did he check the fuel pressure?

It cranks out normal I assume. What I mean to say is that I have to hold the ignition on for 5 or more seconds for the van to start, sometimes I even have to help it out by holding the gas pedal down a little just so it can get over its weak start. Once it starts it all works allright. It'* more like a hard start problem due to no combustion while the engine cranks. plugs/wires and fuel filter are in good working conditions...Now that I remember one of my mechanics told me once that there was some kind of "lack of pressure on the fuel intake", Now that I think about it and if I'm understanding right this might mean a lack of fuel pressure right? Well, I took the van to another dude and he told me that the fuel pressure was fine. Who should I believe? And if my problem is a lack of fuel pressure how can I confirm that on my own? And if that'* so would the problem be the pump or the pressure regulator?

either can make it start like that. fuel pressure spec is 41-47, you can rent a tester for free at autozone. put a rag around the end to catch gas and turn the key a couple times to repressurize(dont start it) see what your reading stabilizes too. if it goes away your regulator is likely bad or you have a leak. if its too low you need to find somewhere to plug the return, could be pump if its low. if it shoots up its the regulator. if the filter is plugged the pressure will be low and if you start it and rev the engineor if you can tape it up where you can see it driving it will go down the more you romp on it.

I don't think the injectors are the problem. It'* more like a hard start problem due to no combustion while ingniton cranks engine up on start.

Solved!!!! it was a faulty pump along with clogged n filthy filter.
