I think it might be going again, just had it done about 30k ago. I see a small pool of what looks to be coolant on the back of the engine pooling up in the molding on top. I don't have any money left in the budget to get it fixed. It is common to have it go that quick? Suggestions?
the UIM on the Ei is just a paper gasket between the blower and the LIM so not thinking it'* that. your LIMs sound like the culprit. when you replaced them did you use the fel- pro perma seals or the nice thick GM updated ones? i have seen the perma seal ones and am not really impressed with them.
it shouldn't need the LIMs if it was done by the dealer, however it also depends on if they used the updated gaskets. when did they do the service ( month / year)?
also another culprit to check out is the coolant elbows. those things like to fail like crazy

the elbows are located on the alternator bracket. while that is off changing the valve cover gaskets is a good idea since you have to remover the bracket to get the rear valve cover off

Yea Ill take a look there and see maybe if it is dripping at all and maybe burning up. Looks like if that isn't the case Id have to shell out the money to get it fixed :(

Where exactly is it pooling up? Passenger side, drivers side, front, back. On the drivers side it'* likely the throttle body gasket. Passenger side, it'* likely the elbow. When the LIM gaskets fails, it will not leak to the outside. Instead it seeps in to the lifter valley.
