SAFETY SAFETY BRAKE PEDAL LOCKING UP DONT BUY GM PRODUCTS INCOMPETENT SUPPORT THOUSANDS TO FIX 2021 chevy suburban 80,000 miles THEY HAVE RECALLED Tahoe and other large suv with same brake master cylinder, i have Had issue with this vehicle , vehicle coded and brakes pedal locked. had to stand on pedal to get it to slow down (and very slowly if there were anybody in front of us it would have been an accident, took to dealer they said never seen this problem before. They contacted gm engineering for support they said with these codes say it'* the brake master cylinder which has a computer on it 3000.00 to replace it, I am a mechanic I personally have installed hundred of master cylinders and most don't fail for approx 20 yrs, so hard to believe. Dealer replaced master cylinder I complained to customer service and asked to talk to somebody that handles saftey and failures to make them aware of the issues and they said there was nobody for me to speak to of these failures and the safety concerns i have and they didn't care, they said we can give you a 800.00 discount .(SAFETY DIDNT MATTER) and I said what if this doesn't solve the problem they said vehicle won't leave IF IT still has this problem, after 2 weeks of no vehicle Brodhead wis chevy dealership says car is ready we drove almost an hour to pick it up and on the way home (about 10 miles) from dealership it coded again we brought it back and few days later as we needed to get another appointment. they checked codes not ALL were same as before , this time Nick service writer says after putting in master cylinder computer resets and says brake pads are at 100 percent which other computers on vehicle says, fronts are at 75% and rears at 25% no way to fix that unless you do both front and rear brake pads. 1300.00 we said what about the brake master cylinder that was supposed to fix the problem ( He say i didn't feel that was the problem but engineers said that'* what it was) so he said after further inspection front and rear brake sensors are bad 28.00 each and only 2 on left side of car. and rotor has rust on it , we can clean that and it should be fine, we told him replace rear brakes that were 25% so we got out of there right around 750.00 and problem was fixed, when we called gm for a refund they said since there was a 800.00 discount given they couldn't refund our money (that'* basically stealing from customers) I said if I new i was going to request a refund for incompetent work and couldn't get my money back i wouldn't have taken the discount which is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of I dealt with roger( supervisor at customer assistance he says he is highest person there i can deal with and said if I have any other issues and want to bring it to the dealer he can work on getting me a discount and I said I can go to an incompetent shop NEAR ME AND GET THE SAME SERVICE , OUR FAMILY I MEAN ALL OF US HAVE BEEN GM customers and now we are all questioning our loyalty and next purchases will probably change car manufactures and i SUGGEST YOU DO TO, OTHER MANUFACTURERS CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY AND YOUR FAMILIES SAFETY. good luck to you if you are looking for a safe vehicle for your family i don't believe a 70,000 suburban is gonna do it for you. I feel safety should be most important but I'm not the guy who makes the decision to disregard safety over money
