Default Possible to easily move CC Accell control to dash, 2001 Grand Prix SE

2001 Grand Prix SE
Wondering if it would be easy enough to move, well actually "piggy-back" a Resume/Accell button up on the dashboard, using a momentary contact switch.
My old car, an Alero, of course had the controls on the steering wheel, CC buttons were a breeze to get to.
I find this "resume/Accell" switch to be a PITA to operate, I am constantly fumbling around trying to locate/operate it.
Or would I be getting into a "can of worms" trying to carry this out?

You might be opening a can of worms. I'd say a good 45% of that depends on how good you are with wiring.

I believe the wiring from the switch is available under the dash, so it would be possible. I don't have a diagram handy though.

What is a momentary contact switch? If you mean remote switch than yes it can be done but you'll need to do it right.
That means you CAN'T piggy back the switch.

I think he means a momentary like a dead-man or horn button. I think it could be done across the same open in parallel. Worst case it will have two closes on the same circuit, right?

mrbreezeet1, is this what you're talking about? (black is factory, purple is your addition) :

They are in parallel so they will work independently of each other.
It'll work fine. Just needed to be sure it was not wired in series which would defeat the purpose.
