Default o4 GTO charging system

Last week I was parked for about a hour with the car is running snd thrn I took off then I got a warring light battery light then check alternator. So checked the battery they said no good autozone. Then replace battery a hour later the alternator light came on. I bought a new one and had it replaced 2 weeks ago. Yesterday sitting with the car on and took off same problem. I took my car to advance auto check the battery because it stated check alternator light and battery light is on. I had it check the battery is good and alternator but battery is little low and said do I drive the car I drive it every day. I was sitting for a hour with the car on.. not sure why I'm getting this code for.

Maybe the alternator is getting so weak, that it can't keep up. The car is 11 years old, alternators don't last forever.

Welcome to the forums Darrick.
I would check the wiring closely.
Ensure all battery cables including ground straps, alt wires etc are clean, free from any corrosion and are on there tight.
What brand of alternator did you install?

If you have a voltmeter handy. Check your charging voltage while wiggling the alternator connector. I have seen some a/f alternators have weak soldering at the connector internally or broke down terminals at the connector.

There ere multiple grounds at many places for many components .., I would create a few new grounds just because then I would clean everyone I could find and re fasten neatly and securely..
