Im stumped.. 2001 grand prix GTP
I was driving down the road and I lost all power to my 01 grand prix GTP. The ECM fuse had blown. I replaced the fuse and worked fine for about 3 weeks then happened again. Replaced it again and problem happened 3 weeks later again. Except this time every time a new fuse was put in it would pop. I let car sit for a few days. put new fuse in and it started fine. What is causing the fuse to pop?
The fuel pump is fine, I ran a check on it and everything works.

Time to do a amp draw test on the fuel pump. It may be getting time to replace it. It is going on 12 years since it was installed at the factory.

looks like there are a couple ecm fuses, one in the inst panel has pink wires that goto the tdm and pcm relay. fuel pump is not on this fuse

if you are in a state where it keeps popping you could unplug the battery, use a meter on ohms test from the fuse socket to ground there should be. then unplug the pcm and then the tdm and see if the short goes away on the meter. if its in the wiring some time you can narrow it down by grabbing and shaking wire harnesses. if its not doing it now that makes it harder. try shaking the wires and see if the fuse blows. you may have to find the wires and look anywhere where it might come close to the engine or frame or any metal

is it the one in the dash?
look rear close at the back of the fuse panel, the connectors are bare and sometimes work loose. then follow the wires and see if the harness looks melted or pinched any where

Yeah its the one right in the glove box. I never thought to check the connectors. That'* a good starting point.
