Ooooh yeah, good find!

Down on that page I see:

Direct replacement:Headlight Code H1 "Morette" "Surface complexe" CIBIE 084605 - RétrOptic'Auto

Clear replacement???:Headlight Road H1 "Morette" "Surface complexe" CIBIE 084604 - RétrOptic'Auto

. . . and the important part, it actually shows measurements. Both items show:

Width (en mm) : 150
Leight (in mm) : 90
Type : H1

The "clear" one looks to be mostly clear but definitely not 100% diffused like the original.

Maybe Soft Ride has earned a pastry?

Thank you for your answers. I know well the website RétrOptic'Auto whose I am a customer. The headlights they propose are strictly the original Alpine parts and I still have two of them new in the box The first is the low beam and the second, the high beam.

What I would like to do is to replace them with more actual headlights, with crystal glass and complex reflector exactly as this :

I have two questions :
- Are the dimensions of my headlights identical to those of the 98-02 Firebird (to fit to the housing) ?
- If yes, someone knows a supplier that propose european E-mark approved ones ?

I show the Sylvania H4701 as a possible replacement unit for a 2000 Firebird and 1990 Suburban. The face dimensions of this bulb are 6.4" X 3.8" which converts to 162.56mm X 96.52mm so:

Alpine versus Firebird equals difference
Width 150mm versus 162.56mm equals 12.56mm wider than Alpine
Height 90mm versus 96.52mm equals 6.52mm taller than Alpine

Looking at your picture, I don't see extra room for the assemblies without getting creative.

According to the product'* description on Amazon, the title says "92x150" which are the face dimensions in millimeters of the headlight (identical to Alpine). The other dimensions given below are on my mind including the whole packaging...

Someone can verify its Firebird'* 98-02 headlights ? We would be fixed.

What I found was pictures of the two bulbs with measurements inserted into the picture with a photo-editor of some sort, similar to the ones you included above. I can't speak to their accuracy, but they showed lines with these measurements at the outer edges of each dimension (at that rib that is around the outside), so a bit larger than the face. I'd say Amazon a bulb and see how it measures out, then return it.

I don't recall seeing one of these discussed on this board in probably more than a year. I don't believe any of our regulars have one. I have an inlaw who had three of the Firebird you are looking for (and rolled all of them from what I understand). Unfortunately those have long-ago been made into paperclips. I understand he currently owns a little Kia of some sort that appears to help him stay upright.

If someone here does have one and is watching, I'm sure they'd chime in.

If I happen across one in a junkyard I'll be sure to measure and let you know.
